7月9日，2011大众汽车中国赛车Scirocco R-Cup第三分站的比赛在鄂尔多斯国际赛车场拉开战幕。第一回合比赛结束后，蒙特西(Stefano Montesi)获得冠军，安德烈亚(Andrea Reggiani)获得亚军，帕特里克(Patrick Boulaud)获得季军。
排位赛上，蒙特西做出最快单圈2:00.343，奠定发车杆位。张大胜落后0.022秒排在第二。安德烈亚排在第三，成绩是2:00.808，帕特里克排在第四，中国车手尹海涛和第一次参加Scirocco R-Cup的美国车手奥特伯格(Aleksander Altberg)在第三排起跑。
第一回合比赛，杆位发车的蒙特西起步顺利，并率先进入一号弯，跟在他身后的是安德烈亚和帕特里克。张大胜在发车时遇到了一些问题，没能跟上头车，一圈比赛过后，他排在第八位，但是在之后的三圈比赛中，他在每圈都有一次超越，名次上升至第五，又经过两圈比赛，他追至第四位。此时，排在前三位的车手依然是蒙特西、安德烈亚和帕特里克，三名车手之间的差距均在1秒左右，张大胜则距离帕特里克6秒开外。
比赛后半段，排在第二位的安德烈亚向头车发起了进攻，两车之间的最小差距仅有0.08秒。安德烈亚的紧逼让蒙特西开始有失误出现，赛道上的沙石也造成了失误加剧。安德烈亚终有一次机会超过了蒙特西，短暂的领跑之后，又被蒙特西反超。
最终，蒙特西第一个冲过方格旗获得本回合比赛冠军，全场总用时26分38秒167，（全场）最快单圈成绩2分01秒610，安德烈亚获得亚军，帕特里克获得季军，中国小将张大胜获得第四名。

July 9th, 2011, the third event of Scirocco R-Cup China came to Ordos International Circuit. The Saturday race saw Stefano Montesi won, with Andrea Reggiani and Patrick Boulaud 2nd & 3rd, respectively.
During the qualifying, Stefano Montesi took pole (2'00'343) and Dasheng Zhang claimed the other spot on the front row for the afternoon grid. Andrea Reggiani qualified 3rd (2'00'808) and Patrick Boulaud was 4th. Haitao Yin and the new comer Aleksander Altberg qualified 5th & 6th, respectively.
As for the first round, pole-sitter Montesi got off to a smooth start and led the fleet into Turn 1. Zhang, on the other hand, had some problem at start and after 1 lap, he fell to 8th. Zhang managed to find back his rhythm and overtook 3 cars in the following laps. Montesi, Reggiani and Boulaud formed the leading group. Dasheng Zhang was 6 seconds away from them.
At late stage of the race, Reggiani managed to shorten the gap with Montesi and waited for his opportunity to overtake. Montesi lost lead to Reggiani at the end of the big straight, but just in less than one lap, Montesi managed to regain the lead. In the end, Montesi won and his total time was 26’38”167. Reggiani settled for 2nd and Boulaud captured 3rd. Chinese youngster Zhang was 4th.
