2013CTCC新规出台 长安福特车队积极应战

2013CTCC新规出台 长安福特车队积极应战  2013中国房车锦标赛将于5月12日在珠海揭幕。长安福特车队在过去的四个月争分夺秒的工作,现在所有赛车准备工作已经接近尾声,并迎接新一轮的挑战。
  
  长安福特车队今年仍然抱着积极的态度朝第六个厂商杯总冠军的目标奋战。虽然去年闯过加重规则的重重难关,夺得年度总冠军,但2013新规则放宽了对参赛车型的限制以及更换了单一轮胎供应商,使得车队依然面临着很多不确定的因素。
  
  车队项目总监许永善说:“2013中国房车锦标赛新规则错综复杂,新规则允许不同类型的赛车参赛。作为一个厂商车队来说,我们唯一可行的选择就是根据FIA S2000的规则来改装我们的赛车。
  
  除了S2000规则之外,另外一种选择就是从推广商和推广商授权供应商购买官方发动机和车架。但是到目前为止,都没有一个明确规则来约束官方的发动机和车架,就是说官方发动机和车架可以按照生产商自己的意愿来设计。比起使用按照FIA S2000规则改装的车架,使用官方车架获胜的机率可能更高,不过选用官方发动机和车架就目前对我们车队来说都不是一个合适的方案。对一个厂商车队来说,贸然采用没有数据基础的方案都是不负责任的。
  
  对于官方发动机, 我们根本无法想象一个厂商车队会使用其他厂商的发动机。让本田的车安装通用的发动机去参加比赛,这对车队来说其实是很难执行的一件事情。
  
  对于2013年新单一供应商的轮胎,车队根本没有足够的数据来支持,只能基于多个假设方案来设计我们的赛车。这点确实让车队很不安,因为我们根本不知道会有什么样的结果。
  
  去年的加重规则让车队面临很多难题。不然,我们在赛季中段可能就已经拿下了年度总冠军。但我希望今年在这个规则下我们依然能取得满意的成绩。因为我们是斗士,总能找到解决方案。”

2013CTCC新规出台 长安福特车队积极应战  The opening round of the 2013 China Touring Car Championship will be held on May 12th in Zhuhai. Chang’an Ford Racing Team has been working around the clock for the last four months and all five race cars are just going through the finishing touch now and ready to face the challenge this week.
  
  The team is taking a very positive position about the 2013 season and is targeting winning its fifth consecutive Championship this year. However, it seems the team, after overcoming the 2012 Weight Compensation System, will be facing more uncertainties in 2013 due to the regulation changes regarding the type of cars that are allowed to compete and the change of tire supplier.
  
  Team Director, Paul Hui indicated “The 2013 CTCC regulation is very complicated with respect to the type of cars that are allowed to participate. As a works team, it is quite straight forward that the only feasible alternative available to us is to build our cars based on the FIA S2000 regulation.
  
  The other option is to purchase the new Official Chassis from the promoter and the promoter appointed supplier. Since there is no regulation governing this chassis, it could be designed and constructed to whatever they feel like. The chance of such a chassis to perform better than the S2000 chassis is fairly high but for us to adopt this, at least at this moment, is still premature. Venturing into something that we have no data to look at is an irresponsible act for a works team.
  
  For the Official engine, the question mark is even bigger because we cannot imagine a manufacturer will agree to use an engine built around another manufacturer's engine. To tell Honda to use a GM engine to compete could be a tough task to achieve.
  
  As for the 2013 tire, the team really has very little data concerning the behavior of this new tire so the team is forced to design our 2013 car based on a lot of assumptions and that makes the team extremely nervous at this moment because we do not know what to expect.
  
  The weight penalty system hurt us badly last year. If not for that, we would have won the championship half way through the season. But I might need this system to keep us half respectable this year. We are fighters and we will always find solutions.”
