没有了上一年的滂沱大雨，有的只是猛烈的阳光。2011年9月17日，在上海国际赛车场上演了一场特殊的排位赛，中国房车锦标赛的第五场的排位赛，一场长达45分钟的排位赛。
官方自由练习
因为在之前的三天，长安福特车队已经用了大量的时间做练习，所以车队没有参加今天第一场的官方自由练习，为的就是让车手和赛车能有足够的休息时间。在中午的第二场自由练习中，已经拿到本赛季三个杆位的1号车手何晓乐在第三圈的时候做出全场最快圈速，1:15.150，队友甄卓伟和江腾一分别在第三和第四圈做出最快圈速，1:15.886和1:15.907. 小将范高翔也不停的刷新自己的记录，在第五圈做出最好成绩1:16.232. 在练习完后，车队技术人员对赛车进行最后调整，以保证在下午2点10分开始的排位赛中，四福将都能取得好成绩。
排位赛
下午2点10分，排位赛正式开始，但是长安福特的4位车手都没有立刻发车，为了让轮胎能发挥最佳性能，车队用了3分钟的时间来暖胎。2点13分，车队按照1号车何晓乐，4号车江腾一，3号车甄卓伟和2号车范高翔的顺序出车。3圈后，车队的排位顺序和出车顺序没有改变，依然由何晓乐带头，4位车手都在第一圈做出最好成绩。在比赛还剩下15分钟的时候，4位车手都回到维修区更换轮胎，希望能把成绩再提高。换上新轮胎的4位车手在比赛还剩下11分钟的时候重新发车，经过5分钟，成绩没有变化。
但此时，赛道出现了突发状况，另外一个车队其中一辆赛车，因为在一号弯道漏油，因此比赛停赛了接近30分钟。CTCC赛委会决定，临时加时15分钟，所以重新开始排位赛时间为20分钟。
在这30分钟的休息里面，何晓乐，甄卓伟和范高翔再次换上新轮胎。下午3点05分，排位赛重新开始。首先跑出赛道的是4号车江腾一，也许是因为前方没有领跑的原因，江腾一到排位赛结束都不能刷新自己在第一圈的最快成绩，最后他以1:15.830位居超级量产车自然进气组第三名。而何晓乐在换上新的轮胎后，不断的刷新自己的最好成绩，并在第六圈的时候做出最好成绩，以1:14.977的成绩位居本组别第一。另外两名车手也在这20分钟的第二节排位赛里面，做出了最好成绩。甄卓伟在第八圈以1:15.848的成绩位居第四，而小将范高翔则在第14圈的时候第一次进入1:15的范围，取得1:15.982的成绩，紧接着队友甄卓伟。
在接下来的新闻发布会上，何晓乐和江腾一均表示个人成绩是其次，最重要的是能为长安福特车队取得积分，帮助车队卫冕冠军。所以让我们一起来期待明天的第五站的正赛。
China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) Round 5 was started on 17th Spet 2011 in Shanghai International Circuit (SIC), lasted two days.
After three days practices, Changan Ford Racing Team decided not to take the first official practice in the early morning, in order to keep the divers and the racing car in good status. In the second official practice, all of the four racing cars attended the practice. In Lap 3, Rainey He who already had three pole positions during this year’s races had the fastest time of all the drivers at 1:15.150. The other team member Andy Yan had the best time in Lap 3, 1:15.886, Jiang Tengyi in Lap 4, 1:15.907. Fan Gaoxiang in Lap 5, 1:16.232. After the practice, technical team made the final adjustment to prepare the qualifying in the afternoon at 2:10PM.
Four racing car did not go out immediately when the qualifying started, because they needed to warm up the tire. After the qualifying started 2 mins, four racing cars went into the circuit in the following order: Rainey He, Jiang Tengyi, Andy Yan and Fan Gaoxiang. In lap 2, Rainey He took over the first position at the time 1:15.045, but later Ken Lu broke the 1:15 wall, the fastest time became 1:14.945. After 10 mins running, Changan Ford Racing cars all came back to the pit house to change the tires, hoping to make a better time. But the positions did not change at all; Rainey He in No.2, Jiang Tengyi, Andy Yan and Fan Gaoxiang took the position of 4.5 and 6.
5 mins before the qualifying stopped; a racing car from other team had some problem at turn 1, so the qualifying had to stop for over 30 mins. During this time, team leader decided to change the tires again, when the qualifying started again, CTCC added 15 mins more, so all the teams would had 20 mins to make a better time. Jiang Tengyi was the first one on the circuit after the break, but he cannot make a better time, his best time was made in lap 1, 1:15.830 in position 3 of the Super Production NA Group. Maybe it was the 30 mins break and the new tire, Rainey He broke the 1:15 wall, moved to 1:14.977 in lap 6, became the first position of the Super Production NA Group. Another driver Andy Yan made the best time in lap 8, 1:15.848 in position 6. Fan Gaoxiang was following Andy in the time of 1:15.848.
