　　2011年7月2-3日，一项全新赛事将在中国大陆首演，这就是源自意大利的赛手学院方程式(Formula Pilota China, FPC)。携手法拉利赛手学院（Ferrari Driver Academy, FDA），依托意大利阿巴斯（Abarth）方程式赛车，赛手学院方程式为初级方程赛车的参与者打开了一扇理想的晋级之门。
　　
　　阿巴斯（Abarth）方程式比赛于2010年在意大利推出，受到欧洲车手和车队的热捧。2011年，比赛从欧洲来到亚洲，赛事名称确定为“赛手学院方程式”，全赛季共设置了6站比赛，分别在中国广东、上海、鄂尔多斯、珠海和马来西亚雪邦举行。
　　
　　2011赛手学院方程式的比赛消息一经宣布，就吸引了众多参与者。揭幕战车手共有15名，分别来自中国、日本、泰国、印度尼西亚、罗马尼亚、法国、瑞士、意大利、奥地利、安哥拉。其中有广大中国车迷熟悉的北京车手孙正，他是2011中国房车锦标赛的现役车手，也是2009赛季大众汽车中国赛车尚酷杯赛事的最佳中国车手。同样来自北京的车手朱戴维在卡丁车和方程式比赛上都有着骄人的战绩。来自珠海的黎智聪，他12岁开始在赛车场上就吸引了众多关注，2009年开始参加方程式比赛，多次登上颁奖台。参加本场比赛的还有两名女车手，来自中国的张冉和来自印尼的亚历山德拉(Alexandra Asmasoebrata)。
　　
　　赛车方面，比赛使用的阿巴斯（Abarth）方程式赛车为碳纤维材质车身，TATUUS单壳碳纤维底盘，1.4L涡轮增压发动机，6速直排序列式变速箱，最大输出动力为180匹。
　　
　　2011赛手学院方程式的首场比赛（两回合）将于7月2日在广东国际赛车场举行，赛道全长2.82公里，每回合18圈比赛，顺时针进行，共有弯道13个，左弯5个右弯8个。

　　July 2nd & 3rd, 2011, a brand new entry level formula race will come to Guangdong International Circuit, China, introducing the very up-to-date Formula Abarth vehicles to China.
　　
　　Formula Abarth series started the engine in 2010 in Italy and the series turned out to be a big success. 2011 season, a new series using the same cars--Formula Pilota China will continue the momentum and bring the exciting races to Guangdong, Shanghai, Ordos, Zhuhai and Malaysia (Sepang International Circuit).
　　
　　For the first race, Formula Pilota China (FPC) will feature 15 drivers from China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Romania, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Angola. Zheng Sun, a young Chinese driver from Beijing, will join FPC for the whole season. Sun was the Best Chinese driver of 2009 Scirocco Cup China and is now competing in CTCC 1600cc. David Zhu, another youngster from Beijing with years of experience in Karting & Formula race, will also appear on the grid of FPC Guangdong race. Zhicong Li is a young driver from Zhuhai, he was already a media focus in Karting race when he was 12. Li’s formula career started in 2009 and he is experiencing a good learning curve. The series will also see two female drivers: Ran Zhang from China and Alexandra Asmasoebrata from Indonesia.
　　
　　Formula Abarth vehicle has chassis manufactured by the Italian Tatuus, engine of 1400cc turbo powered by FPT (Fiat Powertrain Technologies), which provides 180HP and outstanding aerodynamics.
　　
　　For the debut race, FPC drivers will enjoy the 2.82 KM track with 5 left-handers & 8 right-handers.
