2011年8月20-21日，亚洲GT系列赛将在“2011年上海奥迪国际赛车场系列赛” 举行第七个年头的开幕战，以其强大的超级赛车阵容开展第一回合和第二回合的赛事。“2011年上海奥迪国际赛车场系列赛事”是由上海市汽车摩托车运动协会，上海国际赛车场有限公司和方程式赛车发展有限公司共同举办的。
在以往的亚洲GT系列赛中，就已经吸引了来自世界各地，包括香港，
中国大陆，台湾，马来西亚，美国，加拿大，日本，英国和意大利等地的赛
车手前来参赛。今年8月，来自不同地方，分别有来自意大利,香港和澳门的车手们又将登上亚洲GT系列赛的赛道上，一分高下。
值得一提的是，2011亚洲GT系列赛也得到了中国澳门汽车总会的认可。凡是要参加澳门格兰匹治大赛车澳门GT杯的选手都必须先参加澳门汽车总会指定的赛事方可报名。2011亚洲GT系列赛就是其规定赛事的其中一场，这也证明了亚洲GT系列赛已被大众广泛认可和接受。

The Asian GT Series races onto the scene this August 20th to 21st with powerful supercars facing off in the first rounds of its seventh exciting season at the “2011 Shanghai Audi International Circuit Series”. The Shanghai Audi International Circuit series is organized by Shanghai Automobile and Motor Sports Association (SAMSA), Shanghai International Circuit Management and Development Co., Ltd. (SIC), and Formula Racing Development Co., Ltd (FRD).
Having previously attracted professional drivers from around the world, from places such as Hong Kong, China mainland, Taiwan, Malaysia, USA, Canada, Japan, the UK and Italy, many well-known drivers have competed in the past with the Asian GT series. This August, drivers from different places will once again take part in the Asian GT Series to compete against each other. Participating drivers are comes from Italy, Hong Kong and Macau.
It is worth mentioning that 2011 Asian GT Series has also been highly recognized by Automobile General Association Macao-China (AAMC). Those who want to take part in the Macau Grand Prix GT Cup should at least take part in one of the AAMC’s specified events which including the 2011 Asian GT Series. This also proves that the Asian GT series has been widely recognized and accepted by the public.
