2014克里欧杯中国系列赛(Clio Cup China Series)即将在珠海揭幕。这场比赛十分热闹，除了一众克里欧杯的常客外，亦有多名新车手参赛，当中更有方中信、庄思敏和钱嘉乐三位影视红星参加，令克里欧杯比赛更有娱乐性。
今年比赛的焦点绝对是三位明星车手。方中信和庄思敏去年都有参加由FRD举办的「壹基金慈善明星赛」，之后就应FRD总裁马汉华的邀请，参与多次的赛车练习，决定连同同样热爱赛车的艺人钱嘉乐，参加今年克里欧杯比赛。马汉华亦会参与今场比赛，他希望借着明星车手的参与，让更多人关注克里欧杯，吸引更多人参与赛车运动。
除了明星车手，今场赛事亦有数字新秀车手参加，包括邱耀勇和林昌坤，他们都会力求在比赛中令自己的赛车技巧有所进步。而一众比赛常客，如中国的杨旭、黄毅、叶兴平和胡成伟亦会再次出场作赛。
香港亦有一众实力车手参与，刘志勇和余锦昌都会驾驶他们的绿色赛车出战。而前总冠军车手卢彪亦会参赛，与另一名香港车手黄炜峰挑战冠军宝座。李卓峰亦已经确认参赛。去年一呜惊人的女车手娜奥米希夫也会在揭幕战出赛。
如此强劲的车手阵容，实在令人期待! 第一场比赛将于珠海国际赛车场「泛珠三角超级赛车节」期间举行，同场亦会进行亚洲雷诺方程式系列赛(AFR)的比赛。3月22-23日，我们珠海见!
2014 Clio Cup China Series is due to kick off in Zhuhai with a great driver lineup. Except from the regular drivers, there will be some rookies to take part, with celebrity drivers JacquelinCh’ng, Alex Fong Chun Shun and Chin KarLok to sparkle up the great season opener.
Undoubtedly, the focus of the race will be on the trio of celebrity drivers. Alex Fong Chun Shun and JacquelinCh’ng participated in the “One Foundation Celebrity Race” organized by FRD last year. They were then be invited by FRD’s CEO Kenneth Ma for some training sessions in winter and decided to, along with race enthusiastic artist Chin KarLok, give it a go for the Clio Cup race. Kenneth Ma, who will also take part in the races, wished that with the participation of celebrities, more attention will be drawn towards Clio Cup races while also attracting more people to join motorsports.
Apart from the star drivers, there will be some more rookies to take part including YauYiu Yung Cary and Tsang Ho Kwan, who will hope to polish their driving skills during the races. Regulars, such as Chinese drivers Huang Yi, Yang Xu, Ye Xingping and Hu Chengwei will all be returning for the race.
There will be some experienced Hong Kong drivers taking part as well, such as Kenneth Lau and Yu Kam Cheong, who will drive their striking green race car to the race. Eric Lo, the former Series Champion, will also take part with other Hong Kong driver Benson Wong. Alan Lee will also take part, while Naomi Schiff, the female driver who won several Clio Cup races last year, will also take up the grid in the season opener.
Anticipation is high for the first race of the season! The season opener will be held in Zhuhai International Circuit during the “Pan Delta Super Series” weekend, which will also hold the first race of Asian Formula Renault Seires(AFR). We will see you all on March 22-23 at Zhuhai!
