　　车队表示，之所以签约今年只有22岁的谢欣哲作为新赛季的车手，是因为他非常符合车队对车手的要求：除了他是2012年CTCC1600CC组别的车手总冠军外，他在比赛中表现出的积极进取和分析问题时清晰冷静都让许多人留下深刻的印象。同时，谢欣哲目前正在英国就读汽车工程专业，绝对是一位集实践和理论于一身的全能型车手。
　　
　　车队经理凌绍章很高兴车队能和谢欣哲这么富有经验的冠军赛车手签约，他表示：“2011年的时候，谢欣哲就是代替曹宏伟的第一人选，因为他在2009年的福特青年车手培训项目中表现优异，可惜的是当时他和日产依然有合约在身。这些年来他依然是我们的关注重点，不难发现，经过两年的CTCC比赛，他的赛车技术是越来越成熟，并取得一定的好成绩。经过2012年底车队在珠海国际赛车场对他的测试，我们就确定要和他签约了，因为那次测试他对赛车的了解和对速度的追求，都让我们印象非常深刻。我希望他能够尽快地适应新的车队和有出色的表现，帮助我们车队再一次拿下总冠军。”
　　
　　签完约之后，谢欣哲表示：“长安福特车队从2007年起已经获得了五次厂商杯年度总冠军，这支车队无论是在赛车、引擎还是技师方面都是国内首屈一指的，所以我有信心我会在新的赛季做得更好。长安福特车队是一支很适合像我一样的年轻车手的车队，同时在加入车队之前，我就已经认识车队的其他车手，他们都是很棒的赛车手，我相信我能很快融入到这个团队当中。当然，最重要的是，我希望自己能够帮助车队在2013年拿下第六座厂商杯总冠军奖杯。”

　　Changan Ford racing team unveiled that the young 22 year old driver Martin satisfied the team’s requirement. As the 2012 Driver Champion of the 1600CC class in CTCC, his aggressiveness and analytical approach during the races impressed many people, being the main reasons the team chose him. At the same time, as a student of Automobile Engineering in the UK, Martin not only has racing skill but also a theoretical background and approach.
　　
　　Team manager John Ling was pleased to sign Martin, an experienced driver and race winner: “Martin Xie was our first choice to replace Martin Cao in 2011 as he did a very good job in the 2009 Ford Young Driver Program; however he had a contract with Nissan at that time - so we paid attention to him during these past years. He has made such great progress and achieved quite good performance in CTCC. We confirmed that we would sign him after his test in ZIC at the end of 2012, as he impressed the engineers and was tremendously quick. I hope he can adapt to the team and perform admirably, helping our team to take the championship again.”
　　
　　After signing the contract, Martin indicated: “Changan Ford Racing team has claimed five Manufacturer Annual Championships since 2007. The combination of team, car and engine is a very strong package, so I know I can perform better. This is a great place for a young driver like me. Also, I know the other Changan drivers very well, and they are all very good racers; I believe I can fit well in the team. Most importantly, I hope I can help my new team to take its sixth Manufacturer Championship in 2013.”
